Say hello to Albert the lamb -  a favourite at Cottontails for over 20 years, and such a lovely gift for a newborn.

Designed in France by Moulin Roty, one of the finest toymakers in the world, he is part of their signature fabric animal collection - The Grand Family. 

This is the standard 33cm size Albert - the original, classic sized toy - but he is also available in other sizes and as a hand puppet (which I think doubles nicely as a comforter)

A lovely, gentle choice for a newborn with his pale fleece and fur,  embroidered face and long dangly limbs - he is safe from birth and perfect for cuddles.

But he is also much loved by older children... His romper is removable, so lovely for dressing and undressing - a nice way to encourage nurture and care, as well as to develop fine motor skills. (Plus it's fun to swap outfits if you collect the Grand Family animals)

And don't worry about his pale colouring - he is very happy in the washing machine!
