For the first time ever (as far as I can remember anyway) I have created a (very tiny) Halloween department. 

I must be honest, I didn't plan this. I just happened to notice one day that I have a lovely card with a witch's cottage on it, a few felt decorations, and a mouse carrying a pumpkin. So, voila - a Halloween department is born! 

But wait, there's more, because I also have a Halloween crafting tip to offer.... 

Don't have a pumpkin? Don't worry. Simply create a potato lantern instead! Yes really - just find the biggest potato you can, do the carving bit and pop a candle light inside. In a pinch it really does work - and it creates a lovely baked potato smell.

(I know this because it's what I used to do when I was little. Apparently my parents did not believe in buying unnecessary large decorative vegetables when a potato would do.)
